There are BUZZ words we have to mark them;

In-Memory OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) which known in Microsoft technologies by Hekaton, it is the Greek word for 100 times.

Microsoft SQL Server (PDW) Parallel Data Warehouse: the PDW will move from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012, and it will also gain a new feature called PolyBase

Microsoft PowerPivot and Power View: the in-memory business intelligence and analytics technologies which delivered byMicrosoft

PowerPivot was introduced as an in-memory-analysis plug-in to Microsoft Excel with the release of SQL Server 2008 R2 in 2010

Power View is an in-memory data visualization option introduced in April with the release of SQL Server 2012

Office 2013 which builds PowerPivot and Power View directly into Microsoft Excel as data-exploration and visualization options available from the ribbon menu. That means customers will no longer have to download plug-ins to Excel in order for users to tap into data on enterprise SQL Server databases.
