I have shared with you MS Dynamics AX 2012 Journals Approvals – Approval by user group. This post will explore the second approval option configured in the journal name which is Workflow Approval, this need to configure a workflow approval steps.
This gives a flexibility to add complex approval matrix will be triggered if the condition is occurred on the journal, so the workflow approval offers more control on journal posting.
Under journal names setup, activate approval workflow, and select workflow IDMS Dynamics AX 2012 Journal Approval
When an accountant creates a ledger journal, he/she only can validate it, the post function is disabled as well, and a yellow bar will appear in the journals form to submit it to the next step in the approval matrix.
