Recently I have shared the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 – Segmented Entries concept exploring the importance of data entry, and show the segmented entry mechanism through the cheat sheet.
In this post will explore further enhancement of the segmented entries of which gives more flexibility to AX 2012. Users who wants to accommodate the one line entry are now do not worry about segments (financial dimensions) allocation using the segmented entry mechanism, as it was before in the previous versions, where the application default the assigned dimensions to both sides (Debit and Credit) that enforcing to used double line entries to work around on this issue, AX 2012 cover this point completely.
If an accountant creating a voucher Dr. Ledger account, Cr. Ledger account and require assigning different segments the segmented entry works fine with it.
If an accountant creating a voucher Dr. Vendor, Cr. Bank and require to assign different segments, here is a new feature.
