Recently I have shared MS Dynamics AX – The server is unavailable message blog post, and how to start the service. Today I would like to discuss the following issue which you may face while starting Microsoft Dynamics AX service.

When you trying to start it normally you got the following message in Windows event viewer

“The Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$03-(Instance Name)service terminated with service-specific error 100 (0×64).”

Normally you have to check user permissions who run the service on the Database Server on the Instance Database, and Application Folder, and you found everything is normal.

In that case you have to restart the Active Directory (Domain) server since there are some authentication/permission issue between servers (this may happen because the application server is restarted before the AD server).
